If NC-01 was not redrawn as a black-majority district and remained as it was (I guess fairly similar to the new NC-01 in the new map), would Walter Jones have won as a Democrat? How would he have done in 1994, and would he still have switched? How long until he lost as a Dem, or would he have survived in Congress until his death in 2019?
