This district has a PVI of R+5. Currently represented by Democrat Lauren Underwood, IL-14 is located in northern Illinois, surrounding Chicago's northern and western suburbs. In 2012, Romney won this district by 10%. In 2016, Trump won this district by 4%.

Republican challengers include Catalina Lauf, James Marter, Jim Oberweis, and Sue Rezin.

Trump won the district and I expect him to do better in 2020 than in 2016 in almost every part of the country. We'll run a better candidate than Hultgren, make light of Underwood's ideological incompatibility and shameful impeachment shenanigans, and take back the seat.

Lean D - Underwood is a leftist but republicans candidate suck, add to that the fact that Trump will likely do worse in this district than in 2016 and it's clear that Lean D is reasonable

Lean D. A pretty good example of how Democrats don't need a "moderate" to win in competitive districts/states. The way this district as trending also helps Underwood, obviously.
