Which Republican Party presidential tickets were the most boring, regardless of if they won or lost?

I would say Bush-Cheney 2000. Cheney didn't bring Bush a bounce in August. He did beat Lieberman in the debate though.

Republicans should have nominated Thompson/Pawlenty in 2008 (and the Democrats should have nominated Dodd/Warner Tongue).

Dole-Kemp, Romney-Ryan, Bush-Quayle, and Ford-Dole in that order.

Interesting how each of those seems boring to me compared to what has happened since 2015.

Tough one. I'd say one of these three:

Ford/Dole
Dole/Kemp
Romney/Ryan

Ford/Dole and Dole/Kemp (poor Bob) are pretty interchangeable to me.

I'd say Dewey/Warren in 1948.
