Incidentally, Don Valley fell as predicted, on a 9.6% swing. That area (under the old, big Doncaster constituency) last voted Tory in 1900.

Its shocking, but somehow it shouldnt be. The SNP has basically replaced Labour ideologically on the left and with added nationalist sentiment and a stronger stance on the remain issue: why would anyone vote Labour over SNP?

At least the Tories could claim the unionist position.
