Not-SNP currently have 9 seats in Scotland, so if they get one more nobody has to swim in Loch Ness.

Recent elections really beg the question: Can Labour win any sort of majority without significant support from Scotland?

Hello from Florida.

SNP result not that much of a shock to me based on ground reports. Good to see Tories culled back and Labour gutted.

A terrible night for all defectors, many of which got rather humiliating results. Grieve and particularly Gauke did manage some strong showings, but were still very much behind the official Conservative candidate.

The Change UK results were (shocker!) a total embarrassment. Still, bad as it was they're managing about half the votes rump UKIP currently has, and they actually stood more than 40 candidates.

No. And you know how they can get it? Become pro-indy. Piss easy. So of course they won't.

Moral of tonight: everything sucks, liberal values are dead, people who stand up for what's right get punished, and nationalists (somehow) still think their ideas are good. Britain is about to get ed, and it absolutely deserves it.

What is very, very striking to me... an unavoidable observation... is that Labour's only good results, I think almost without exception, have come in heavily pro-Remain places where it was clear to the electorate that it was the correct Remain Alliance Tactical Option. In other words, those better performances and even the one gain are not really owned by the party; the energy responsible belongs to other forces. Elsewhere the results are uniformly poor to dire, and usually at the bad end of that.

Should be noted that while the SNP are nominally 'nationalists' they're ideologically internationalists. A winning side who hasn't fully embraced Trump's world.

Lib Dems hold Caithness, Sutherland, and Easter Ross. Davidson doesn't have to swim Loch Ness, or at the very least she gets to do so in her bathing suit.

Lib Dems will almost certainly keep Orkney and Shetland, and Argyll & Bute and Ross & Skye will stay with the SNP, meaning that the separatists will be "confined" to 48 seats. It's not 0, but it's better than 50, never mind 55.

Votes/constituency right now:
Green: 829,049
Lib Dem: 379,089
Labour: 49,542
Conservative: 38,295
SNP: 25,961

This is some f**ked up vote efficiency.
