"Indoctrinated millennials?" Really?

Nevertheless, I vote No. It's a nice family get-together time where, among other things, people can put their differences aside, be thankful, and enjoy each other's company. Besides, as a schoolteacher, I enjoy a few days off before the Christmas rush.

Ayn Rand, who identified Thanksgiving as a specifically American (as opposed to religious) holiday, would turn over in her grave (if she hasn't already).

Yes, no need for it, it's not a holiday, it's a 4 day weekend, now, at the end of the yr. There are businesses out there, aside from Walmarts that need to be open on Friday, and they use Thanksgiving as an excuse to be closed

There's no reason to stop celebrating it, but should we change its meaning? Definitely.

We murdered indigenous peoples, gave them plagues, &, overall, just about messed up pretty much everything that they had going for them. Of course it's okay to give thanks, but we should also think about how we got here.

Not to mention, it's just a mishmash of other, older holidays (harvest festivals) anyway, a-la Christmas, so there's no reason to stop celebrating it, but there's every reason to be honest about its history.
