Well?

What do you think specifically of a Warner / Feingold ticket?
Allen / Guilani was a sort of generic filler for a Republican ticket that might do reasonably well.

Warner and Allen are nearly equal, so looking at the VP, Rudy tops Feindgold easily.

Warner is a really good guy, and topped with a genius like Feingold, I cant resist a ticket like this.

This would be a close election.  Guiliani adds a new dimension to the Republican ticket, by attracting independents and Democrats, and is instrumental in swinging New Hampshire and Pennsylvania to the GOP.  Allen maintains the Republican base, and Warner is unable to make significant inroads, as far electoral votes, in the south.  Feingold does not help in this respect.  Warner maintains the Democratic base, by in large, with some loss to the Allen/Guiliani ticket, thanks to Guiliani.  Independents split fairly evenly, as both Allen and Warner have appeal to them.  Allen is seen, overall, as the more solid and qualified to be President, pushing him over the top.

Allen/Guiliani            293  51%
Warner/Feingold      245  49%

Warner/Allen, barring a GOP revolt against a pro-choice pro-gay VP with a Roy Moore type running.  Allen would be better off going with a standard southern conservative as VP; the Northeast is gone anyway, Warner would still sweep the NE with Giuliani on the other ticket.

Allen/Warner

Giuliani makes some social conservatives vote third party, therefore allowing Warner to win with a plurality of the vote.
