Fact check: 65 ways Trump has been dishonest about Ukraine and impeachment
Quote
President Donald Trump is dishonest about a whole lot of things. But he is rarely as comprehensively dishonest as he has been about his dealings with Ukraine and the impeachment process.

From the eruption of the Ukraine controversy in September to the Senate trial that officially began on Thursday, relentless deceit has seemed to be Trump's primary defense strategy in the court of public opinion. He has made false claims about almost every separate component of the story, from his July phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, to the whistleblower who complained about the call, to Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden's own relations with Ukraine.

The President has been dissembling about so many different things at once that it can be difficult to keep track of what is true and what isn't. To help you fight Trump-induced dizziness as the trial gets underway, we've tallied his dishonesty on the subject of Ukraine and impeachment. Our original list from mid-November included 45 false claims he has made and a brief fact check of each one.

We have since added 20 more for a total of 65.

Trump is an unindicted criminal in the Oval Office and GAO and Crts have ruled Trump can be indicted as a sitting President.  If Trump loses in 2021, he will lose Trump Towers and be put in prison for fines and restitution

If only 45% oppose him being removed from office, that's a bad sign for his re-election. He is probably banking on winning as the 'lesser evil' for a key slice of swing voters. However, if a voter actually wants him impeached and removed then even if that voter dislikes the Dem they may be more likely to see the Dem as the lesser evil unless the Dem candidate is really, really bad.

Unfortunately, the 8% of republicans who wants to see him removed - maybe because they prefer Pence - will likely vote for him anyway.

Candidates hardly ever win 100% of their registered party members, Trump got like 90% of Republicans in 2016. That 8% are probably NeverTrumpers who haven't switched yet.

I don't think the list claims to be exhaustive or complete. It's just the ones they've documented.

Really, Trump's lies are like insect species. You can only count the ones you know about and can document. There are countless more just waiting to be discovered and reported.

What a joke Poll from Liberal Hack Manu Raju.

Thus far in the States that matter in the Electoral College come November. "Removing Trump from Office" is either tied or below.

How many people did SSrS have to poll from CA, NY, IL to get that 51 % Number. CNN AGAIN fabricating Polls like they did for Gillum and Nelson in FL during 2018 Midterms.

And DNC is corrupt and 2020 primaries are rigged, like they were in 2016. Also don't forget about Hillary Clinton's emails.

The incompetence of the Democrats will be complete when this thing fails.

Whipping each other into a frenzy is not going to change the outcome.

It's like an angry mob of peasants attending a pretend execution in the 14th century.

You know the guillotine is not dropping on Trumps' neck, nor will the noose tighten around it.

And once again you don’t actually address if Trump is guilty or not (because you know he is but don’t care because you’re a partisan hack)

Is McConnell even going to have the trial appear to be fair?

The Republican Trump Party is a joke, but not a very funny one; in fact, it's a very dangerous one, one that just may lead to our nation's downfall.

Pretty clear that actually impeaching Trump has improved the popularity of the action.

Monmouth:

Approve or disapprove of the House of Representatives decision to impeach President Trump?

Approve 53%
Disapprove 46%

"Now that he has been impeached by the House, do you think Donald Trump should or should not be removed from the presidency by the Senate?"

Removed - 49%(+4)
Not Removed - 48%(-2)

Very, very, very smart move by Team Trump to recruit 8 GOP House Reps to help. Winning move right here.

They are not going to speak on the Senate Floor though. They will act as surrogates. Good move nonetheless cuz they were shunned out in the House Proceedings.
