Also, who the heck are these "White House Lawyers"?

I get the fact that their job is to protect their client, but the focus on "The Jury" (In this case the US Senate), ignores the fact that they are not presenting their case to "The Jury" (In this case called the American People).

Again, the optics make it appear that they are more concerned about what additional damaging information *might* come out, than they are about the actual points.

Throwing out legal jargon, which in layman terms and the speaking of the last White House Attorney, make it sound more like obfuscation and technicalities, rather than contrasting the substance of the arguments.

I think Pam Bondi is going to take home the trophy for worst presentation tonight.
Also the fact she’s even on this team should be a scandal within of itself considering her history

Do Senators in general have staff members who do the tweeting for them, because iirc phones aren't allowed on the floor.

Yes

Schumer Amendment No. 6 was tabled 53-47, and now debating the Schumer Amendment No. 7.

Senators get a quick piss break, while "Moscow Mitch" gets a chance to make a move and keep the Republican Senators in line....

Schumer introduced perhaps the biggest Amendment of the Night, a subpoena to former Trump National Security Advisor John Bolton. Lets see how that goes.

How do you think that will go???

Vulcan Neo-Con John Bolton himself, one of the major architects of the bogus Iraq War 2.0, who has fundamental policy disagreements with Trump Foreign Policy, most specifically regarding Russian aggression towards the Ukraine (and in general a Russia Hawk).

Something tells me that the "cowardly cutlets" that are Republican Senator Foreign Policy Hawks will vote against allowing Bolton to testify, despite the crocodile tears of Senators such as Lindsey Graham, etc....

Tell us your thoughts 2016 on this matter....

Haven't really been paying attention but it looks like the GOP voted in lockstep to rig it as much as possible in the president's favor?

It isn’t, but it’s like the 5th amendment, when you invoke it, you are most likely doing that to try and avoid your own sh!t hitting the fan.

History of late night Senate sessions during the Trump Presidency:

1/19/18 (Democrats Dreamer Shutdown Saturday): Last vote at 10:14 PM
12/2/17 (H.R. 1 Senate Vote-o-rama): Last vote at 1:36 AM
10/19/17 (Budget Authorizing Consideration of H.R. 1): Last vote at 9:18 PM
7/28/17 (McCain stops ObamaCare Repeal): Last vote at 1:24 AM
1/11/17 (Budget Authorizing Consideration of ObamaCare Repeal): Last Vote at 1:05 AM

We've already blown past some of those....

Going back further:

4/14/15 (During the 2015 Budget Debate on Motions to Instruct Conferees): Last Vote at 9:12 PM
3/26/15 (During the 2015 Budget Debate): Last Vote at 3:19 AM
1/22/15 (During the Keystone Pipeline Debate): Last Vote at 11:33 PM

and what appears to be the record.....

Legislative Day of 12/12/13 (Nomination Vote-o-Rama following 2013 Nuclear Option): Last Vote at 12:29 PM on 12/13/13

So what happens if John Roberts falls asleep? Surely that will eventually happen if they go on long enough?
