Although unlike some of the rest of y'all had to work today, and didn't start watching until around 6 PM PST....

It's actually pretty well done that the DEMs are making a case, despite the 'Pubs Party Line vote on every single one of these amendments refusing witness testimony and DoD documentation....

At this point thus far, it really creates a perception that Republican Senators are stonewalling, which I suspect is how a majority of Americans, especially Indies and "persuadable partisans" might also well view it....

Also, who the heck are these "White House Lawyers"?

I get the fact that their job is to protect their client, but the focus on "The Jury" (In this case the US Senate), ignores the fact that they are not presenting their case to "The Jury" (In this case called the American People).

Again, the optics make it appear that they are more concerned about what additional damaging information *might* come out, than they are about the actual points.

Throwing out legal jargon, which in layman terms and the speaking of the last White House Attorney, make it sound more like obfuscation and technicalities, rather than contrasting the substance of the arguments.

Senators get a quick piss break, while "Moscow Mitch" gets a chance to make a move and keep the Republican Senators in line....

Schumer introduced perhaps the biggest Amendment of the Night, a subpoena to former Trump National Security Advisor John Bolton. Lets see how that goes.

How do you think that will go???

Vulcan Neo-Con John Bolton himself, one of the major architects of the bogus Iraq War 2.0, who has fundamental policy disagreements with Trump Foreign Policy, most specifically regarding Russian aggression towards the Ukraine (and in general a Russia Hawk).

Something tells me that the "cowardly cutlets" that are Republican Senator Foreign Policy Hawks will vote against allowing Bolton to testify, despite the crocodile tears of Senators such as Lindsey Graham, etc....

Tell us your thoughts 2016 on this matter....

Schumer Amendment No. 10 was tabled 52-48 with Collins defecting, and now debating the Van Hollen Amendment.

Which Republican flipped???

So just walked in the door a few minutes ago from work and was expecting to see another 15+ additional pages of posts, but yet there was hardly any....

What new revelations have popped up, or highlight moments that might have impacted Senators or US public opinion?

Are there themes that are being accentuated from the House Managers that were previously raised Yesterday as lead-up to the votes, or interesting performances from the President's lawyers?

When Trump's team gets their 24 hours for their case, watch the GOP senators applaud every single sentence.

*** John Roberts bangs the gavel as GOP SENs are led out gradually one by one and going limp civil disobedience as they are physically removed from the chamber ***

And then there was One, the only one, the last one, who chose to voluntarily walk out of the chamber, rather than be removed, as an epic final act of dignity but yet still of defiance and solidarity. The nerve that House DEMs voted for an impeachment inquiry, and a full House voted on Impeachment.... but yet they could not abandon their leader, otherwise he would abandon them and they would be replaced by better robots and sycophants and toadies than they....

As the last one (Any guesses Atlas?) walked out, the single tear ran down his/her face, when he/she realized they no longer loved Big Brother, but they had no other choice....

Schiff: Brings Giuliani into the mix, and now we got the Russian hacking last Week of the Ukranian Oil Company where Biden's son was involved.... Russian hacking of US elections will continue.

Doing a pretty good job of putting Russian hacking into the mix and tying it together, and then tying in the potential that other Foreign Governments might see American action of weakness.

It is exactly why Pr. Donald J Trump did a right thing. If you don't investigate the Bidens, Russians will. And nothing can stop these devils!

Ironically, the same people who thought that Pee Tape was plausible (LOL), don't understand the danger of the Bidens actions. The cocaine addict, Hunter who doesn't even use condoms while banging strippers, was getting paid $50 thousands a month by Ukrainian "pro-Russian" Gas (!!) company. Yikes! If you thought that Pee Tape was even remotely (!!!) plausible, you should think that Russian having dirt on Hunter is likely.

The president duty is to make sure that Russians can't blackmail the next president!  Angry

I have no doubt that the Russian Kleptocracy will meddle, or as you call it "investigate" any potential leader of the United States of America regardless of party affiliation.

Russia today is the modern day equivalent of Turkey.... The "Rump" of the Ottoman Empire well past it's prime where the working people in the Farms, Factories, and the Cities, are more than willing to create *blame* outwards, or in many cases inwards to explain the sobering reality of 2020.

The differences between Russia and Turkey are obvious:

Russia has Nukes, a relatively modernized military, huge supplies of natural resources including not only massive Petro reserves, but also large supplies of a wide variety of minerals and ores, agricultural food products, timber and fishing, not to mention an over-educated and under-employed population where cyber technologies are available as part of quality University programs....

Turkey after the Collapse of the Ottoman Empire had agricultural resources in the hinterlands of Anatolia, access to shipping routes within the MED, Central Europe, as well as potential of overland routes to the East....

Russia after the Collapse of the Soviet Union went the route of the Oligarchs combined with an alliance within the most reactionary elements of the Russian Orthodox Church. The consolidation of economic and political power in such a few years is virtually unprecedented within Global History, and effectively the Russian Model mixes "Monopoly Capitalism", with extreme "Russian Nationalism", while meanwhile the average Russian life expectancy has collapsed, Journalists are murdered with impunity, environmental catastrophic events are routinely covered up.

Chernobyl was obviously a major turning point when it came to a "crisis of confidence among the elites"....

Although America can and will continue to support Ukraine regardless of whatever political party or candidate wins the Presidency in 2020, the line needs to be drawn.

Russian interference in elections throughout Western Europe is clearly documented, well before the '16 US-PRES elections (Well outside of the traditional Russian or USSR economic nor political sphere of influence).

One may well dispute from a Ukranian or Russian perspective about the "Russian Diaspora" and loss of rights in the States of the former Soviet Republics and where exactly the boundaries fall, but it is clear that the FSB has murdered Russian dissidents throughout Europe for well over a decade, and that these actions were most likely directed from the very top.

Naturally I don't need to provide you with a lecture of facts that as an educated person you are most likely already quite familiar with....

I still believe as I did in the 1980s that the "Russians Love Their Children Too", as well as items such as Nuclear disarmament and all that good stuff...
