I find this to be a ridiculous comparison. Even if abortion was murder, there are many differences between legal abortion and the Holocaust. For one, the government is not encouraging abortion, whereas in Nazi Germany the government was encouraging the killing of Jews.

No.  As I've said many times in the past (and likely will continue to say on into infinity), the debate over abortion is not over whether or not murder is okay, but over whether or not abortion is murder.  If pro-choice people let themselves get dragged into the debate over whether or not murder is okay, of course they're going to lose.

Both are legalized genocide of the innocent.

I don't think the best defense against abortion being genocide is that it isn't murder.  I think people who think abortion is genocide have already decided it is, and its not much of a defense to say that is isn't.

The holocaust was an ethnic phenomenon, whose purpose was to exterminate a race of people.  Even the most dark depiction of abortion would not be able to claim that the purpose of abortion is to exterminate a race of people, therefore I think the best reason to vote "no" is that fact.

Even if as a whole you don't think the two are comparable, consider these two things: in Asia (India and China mainly) it is preferable to have a male than a female child, so females are aborted much more often than males. (So much for abortion being good for females.) Second, Mageret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood, believed blacks were inferior and wanted black mothers to abort their children. Even today, one in three black pregnenacies end in abortion.

By the way, if anyone is ever in Baton Rouge, you can visit the National American Holocaust Memorial.

I thought you hated Jews?

Anyway, 'innocence' is beside the point.
