I just thought this would be different, considering many of them are relatively unknown. It is also rather selective to keep the numbers down. It is also 'gay' as opposed to 'lesbian.' I'll do another poll on that just to be fair!

I'll do another one on dead or retired gay politicians later.

Contenders

André Boisclair - Leader of the Parti Québécois
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andr%C3%A9_Boisclair

Bertrand Delanoë - Socialist Mayor of Paris
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bertrand_Delano%C3%AB

Alan Duncan - British Conservative. Member of the Shadow Cabinet
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Duncan

Barney Frank - US Representative. Democrat
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barney_Frank

Peter Mandelson- EU commissioner
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Mandelson

Klaus Wowereit - Social Democrat. Mayor of Berlin
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klaus_Wowereit

Simon Highes and Mark Oaten will not be included. They have yet to prove themselves Wink

I'll do a round II. In retrospect I missed out a few important names.

Hmm, this seems to be man-only poll.  What about Tammy Baldwin and the leader of the NYC Committee (I forget her name)?  I expect there's a lot more, too.

Out of all these, I am familiar with only one or two.  Tongue

Would you mind providing a short bio of each of them?

He has provided a three-word bio and the link to a long bio for each of them. Shouldn't that be enough?

I know Smiley I said it was going to be gay as opposed to lesbian. I'll do a lesbian poll later.

Whoops....I didn't stop and see the rest of his post.  Tongue

Anyways, I wasn't much impressed with any of them, though Barney Frank struck me as being the most colorful of the lot...so him.

Not to mention good looking Wink But I went with Alan Duncan. He is the standard for moderate libertarians in the Conservative Party.

Why he finally came out of the closet after years and years of rumours and jokes is still a mystery to me. Smiley

"If there was a dick army, Barney Frank would want to join..." - Dick Armey.

As far as favorite gay politico, it really doesn't matter to me, because none of them are really directly involved with me.
