I remember reading that Ocasio-Cortez, ironically enough, did relatively poorly among Hispanic voters. It was white liberals (i.e. the "hipsters") who put her over the top against Crowley.

AOC did relatively poorly in heavily Asian areas (as opposed to areas where Asian voters overlapped with white liberals, like in parts of Jackson Heights), especially when compared to her overall results.

From this map, clearly her main base was white liberals in the SW of the district, particularly in Astoria, Sunnyside and Jackson Heights, where she won overwhelmingly. She also did well with, but didn't win overwhelmingly among, Latino voters in Corona and Jackson Heights and in the Bronx. She actually lost her home of Parkchester, which has large Asian and black populations. She also did relatively poorly in many of the "white ethnic" areas in the seat, like Country Club in the Bronx, although she did do well in Astoria, where "white ethnic" voters are mixed with white liberals.

Considering how badly she did near LGA im sure the reason crowley won that corner was because black turnout exceeded demographics and black primary voters tend to be older and fall in line with centrists.
