None of them were anything special.

Bork was really, really stupid in confirmation hearings, so I wouldn't have.

Haysnworth and Carswell were probably rascists, and might well take it with them.

Miers. Please.

Not really sure about Parker, probably not.

To be contrarian, I might well have confirmed Ginsburg or Fortas.

I would have voted in favor of Parker, Bork, and Ginsburg, voted against Abe Fortas and Clement Haynsworth, and filibustered Harriet Miers and G. Harold Carswell.

Carswell was even more mediocre than Miers. In his defense, Senator Roman Hruska said on the floor of the Senate: "Even if he is mediocre, there are a lot of mediocre judges and people and lawyers. They are entitled to a little representation, aren't they?"
