Jesus f***ing Christ, people, the 2016 primary fight was 4 years ago.  Why do any of you still care about re-litigating the stupid thing?  If you think Bernie got screwed, fine.  He’s got a real shot this year, so focus on winning over undecided/persuadable primary voters by making a positive case for Bernie.  Complaining about 2016 just makes Berniecrats sound like sore losers championing yesterday’s man.  Think Bernie is a self-righteous crank who lost fair and square?  Great, focus on trying to make a positive case for your preferred candidate because whining about 2016 will do nothing but reopen old wounds for no reason.

Seriously, who even cares about the 2016 primaries anymore?  Bernie lost the nomination, Hillary lost the GE, and that’s that; blame or don’t blame whoever you want.  It happened and now it is what it is.  It’ll be hard enough for whoever gets nominated - be it Bernie, Pete, Biden, Warren, Bloomberg, or Klobouchar - without everyone getting in meaningless arguments about 2016.  /RantOver

Note: This isn’t directed at any particular poster or side.
Hillary is the one making it an issue. She can't stop obsessing over 2016 just like the democrats can't stop obsessing over 2016 by pursuing impeachment. They can't get over they lost.

She is such a bitter sore loser. It's so funny that people act like the 2016 primary was so bad. Bernie never hit her over Benghazi, Emails, or her husband's infidelities. He did attack her for things like super PACs, and the Iraq war....that is stuff in her record, that is fair game. She believes the presidency was owed to her, and she will act like this for as long as humanly possible.

Bernie and his cult are the biggest hindrances to a Democratic victory in 2020. The DNC kowtowed to his supporters delusional and false belief that the primary was rigged and changed the nominating rules to appease them.

Yet they still want to throw another election to Trump if their candidate loses because they refuse to accept the possibility that Bernie just doesn't have the votes to win. They all think the DNC is conspiring again to stop Bernie's otherwise-inevitable rise.

It's really too bad that Bernie didn't take the hint after his heart attack and drop out.

Your first paragraph could be easily translated as 'lol Bernie supporters dumb'.

It's not Sanders who's rehashing 2016, so stop pretending he is.

No, it’s “Bernie or Hillary supporters who try to re-litigate the 2016 primaries are being dumb and whining about something that simply doesn’t matter and I’m sick of it."  If you took that paragraph as an attack on one particular side then that might suggest a persecution complex on your part, because I didn’t even criticize Bernie Sanders in my post nor was I thinking about him when I wrote it.

Hillary was being dumb when she made the comments in question b/c all it does is make her sound like a petty, embittered sore loser and Sanders supporters who let themselves get all riled up about what she said are being dumb by freaking out just b/c some formerly influential has-been said something mean about Bernie.  It takes two to tango and no one comes out looking good when the 2016 primaries are re-litigated.

Maybe it’s just me, but I really don’t get the obsession with re-litigating the 2016 primaries when it won’t change anything.  I donated to and canvassed for Bernie’s campaign that cycle.  I enthusiastically voted for him in the primary and may well do so again this cycle if Pete loses Iowa.  Come to think of it, I’ve actually voted for him for President more than you have Tongue  I didn’t like Hillary then, can’t stand her now.  None of this is the point though.  The point is that re-litigating the 2016 primaries is counterproductive for the Democratic establishment and Bernie’s campaign alike.

I am no fan of Bernie Sanders or his cult of supporters, but this is an extremely poorly timed fight that Hillary is picking and it works to the disadvantage of the party.

There is an impeachment trial going on in the Senate for God's sake. Democrats should be more united than ever if we want to beat the child in the Oval.

There is absolutely zero value in re-hashing the 2016 primary.

Except your first paragraphs literally singles out Sanders supporters.

My first paragraph literally singles out people who think Bernie is a self-righteous crank who lost fair and square (i.e. Hillary hacks).  Also, I don’t single out Sanders supporters.  Plenty of Sanders supporters aren’t pointlessly obsessing over the 2016 primaries.  I have no quarrel with them.

Anyway, the point is there are people being dumb in both camps (Berniecrats and Hacks for Hillary).  Yes, some of Sanders’ supporters sometimes do dumb things.  That’s not an attack on all Berniecrats; it’s a criticism of the ones who are doing the dumb thing in question.  Same deal with Hillary apologists.

Preach Hillary! Bernie doesn't know how to coalition build, enforces insane purity tests, and hates the Democratic Party. He would be a terrible and ineffective President and a disaster for Democrats down ballot who would have to defend his ridiculous policies that he can't pay for. There was NO Bernie Sanders backed candidate that flipped a seat from red to blue in 2018. PERIODT.

Get over yourself mate.

A lot of csndidates won by backing Sanders-esque policies. Tim Walz was unapologetically in fvaour of two years of free public college. How many Democrats have signed on in support of Medicare for All? Andrew Cuomo has introduced four years of free public college in New York.

I have a list here if you'd like to continue.
