I believe it's the navy because it has planes as well as carriers, and subs. Air force, on the other hand, only has planes and nukes.

Navy, obviously. Was in the Army, participated in a foreign officer exchange program. My counterparts all recognized the USN as the strongest branch. They're right.

Just FYI, in the Chinese popular imagination, the US is at the same time awe-inspiring and resented. It's totally natural to (for instance) be a fan of Top Gun and also criticize US foreign policy.

Since this is a rare opportunity for a completely genuine person-to-person contact, we should be friendly with v0031. Of course, because his question here is so general, it's not like anyone here took a copy of documents from Mar a Lago.

The Chinese Navy doesn't have the variety and versality of the US Navy. Also, without the US Navy, the USAF would be significantly weaker considering the number of aircraft carriers the U.S. Navy has (11). China only has 2 aircraft carriers.

The US Navy could potentially be humiliated in conflict because there is some speculation that big aircraft carriers could be more vulnerable than previously assumed. The air force meanwhile seems pretty much unstoppable.
