The epitome of a FF. She was one of the many leader of the masses that worked to try to free Germany out of the hands of the Kaiser and his band of Junckers. It is a shame she had died, for if she had lived, the entirety of Europe would be run by true democratic councils free of influence from brutality, bribery, and barbarism. Rest In Peace sweet queen!

May I ask exactly what led you to this conclusion?

Misguided, but far better than the scum who used proto-fascist militias to murder striking workers.

Wasn't a big fan of Vladimir Lenin (and from that we can probably extrapolate that she would have had an even worse opinion of Stalin had she live that long). Wasn't a big fan of Friedrich Ebert and the SPD either.

Which means that her kind of socialism covered only a pretty narrow niche of "more democratic than Soviet Russia's communism, but more left-wing than Western Europe's social democracy" where it is uncertain whether it could have ever been put into practice if she had lived. In sense, Rosa Luxemburg was a very early advocate of a proto-form of Eurocommunism that eventually developed during the 1970s and 1980s in Italy and a couple of other Western European countries.

This also means that it wasn't only immoral and a crime to have her murdered, but also pretty dumb politically, because it started a chain of events that eventually transformed the German communists into the Soviet Union's lapdogs and unrepentant Stalin fanboys. (Well, maybe not that dumb from the perpetrators point of view since some on the political right may have preferrred dealing with a very extreme left over dealing with a not quite so radical left.)

Another legacy is of course that Rosa Luxemburg gets readily and frequently coopted as a postergirl in present-day Germany by left-wing socialist and reform communists who want distance themselves from the crimes of the East German and the Soviet Union's regimes.

Because I strongly oppose communism and/or the socialism she stands for. Luxemburg also embraced the October revolution in Russia, even though she later criticzed the way Lenin ruled (which is why I wrote lean (or slight) HP).

Luxembourg was a libertarian socialist who's an enormous FF. She was right to criticize the way Lenin ruled.
