Did Pete campaign "raise complaint" to hide collapsing campaign?

Very disappointed in Pete Buttigieg campaign. The campaign clearly kicked up a major fuss with the Des Moines Register/CNN and the threats have pulled the poll.

The facts
- Pete hasn't had one poll since november showing him increasing his numbers.
- Pete has lost all momentum and hes struggling to gain traction.
- Reporters at events are reporting that many voters are going to caucus for someone else.

Benefits of raising a complaint
- It reduces the damage or pre-caucus chatter that he's collapsing.
- The campaign gets into the conversation - the conversation was around other candidates - bernie sanders, Amy klobuchar, Andrew Yang and not pete buttigieg.

Lots of people on twitter saying the pete buttigieg campaign threatened to go rogue if the poll was released and go on a smear campaign of Ann Selzer.

This is actually quite personal for me.

Pete represents men that apply for jobs above experience. He's trying to get the job by being a "yes man" to bundlers/donors in Washington. His campaign has abandoned all morals and ethics for example sending an email and if you don't reply to the email with a rejection it means you endorse the plan. This is flat out wrong.

I understand politics is brutal but I'm horrified that the media pushed this guy so hard for so long all because his bundlers/donors pay the bills of the mainstream media. He literally has no record and its something that we see in virtually every workplace in America. Inexperienced men trying to bulldoze their career up the food chain ahead of women who are ready to do the job.

He's actually polling pretty well in Iowa and there's no reason to suggest that this poll would have shown otherwise.

But, that even aside, there is zero evidence that this would be the case. You and "people on Twitter" are speculating because you don't like him. There are no reports from anyone reputable that this is the case.
