Why not Smiley It would be interesting if we could construct an Atlas of Atlasia featuring demographic details, even election results, though I admit it could be time consuming

Here is a rough example:

Population Per State As of Today

There may be a few errors

EDIT: See how 'over populated' Pennsylvania and Virginia are.

That's an interesting map.  I never really focused on the population distribution by state before.  Some surprises in comparison to what I might have predicted, I guess due to some of the less active voters.

Nice work. Smiley

Redistricting may be a problem. (Not that i'm accustomed to how it works) With Pennsylvania with 11 citizens and Virginia with 10, that constitues around 1/5th of the population and if there are 5 Districts together with sparse Maryland or Delaware those 3 states would be large enough to compose 1 district.

I'm going to try and a map based on party affiliation!

Looks like VA has grown compared to NY. I remember NY being huge, but that was over a year ago, when I was analyzing every part of that its district top to bottom.

Up next is a party map. The data is from the party rolls, not the voter rolls, so may be (Edit: Is- if you compare it to above) innacurate.

Only main parties are shown in colour. 'Others' in grey and independents are not shown

Each voter is represented by a dot.

I'm sorry.

I knew their would be errors Smiley

I'm sure you won't be the only one. I wont update the map just yet, but will do so in a few days to correct errors.

EDIT: What the hell, I updated it.

I can add independents if you wish. Put them in green.

EDIT: Anyone else think of maps to add?

A map about each region's population forum age (going by their first registration to vote) would be cool ... but it's probably too muc h work.

Decided to revive this thread with a new population map of Atlasia:

I guess the old color scheme isn't ideally suited for the larger current population, though it still gets the point across.

It's interesting to see how heavily populated Virginia is, relative to the number of forum posters.  New York, Pennsylvania, and California all have a lot of non-Atlasia posters, so it isn't a surprise, but I think Virginia is relatively small - I can only think of myself, Frodo, and Useful Idiot that are actually in Atlasia.

What's the most populated state? (I assume NY, PA, or VA?)

Is there a table form of that data?

Thanks.

There's also Officepark, but I see what you mean. Virginia has been a fairly popular state for people from elsewhere to register in for as long as I can remember.

Well, when I left the NE, I knew I wanted to go to the ME, but, I wanted to keep close to the South (lol), so I decided on Virginia.

Correct. Real life location would be problematized by some members living in other countries.
