Entirely deserved, but wow.  Just wow.

I wonder if she'll win New Haven?

No.  New Haven is a one party town.

Jodi Rell will win but with less than 60%.  55-45 sounds pretty good to me.

I'm not real high on either Democrat and I don't like the idea of a one party state so I'll vote for Rell unless she does something to stop that.  If the estate tax is repealed (as someone who is directly effected by it) I will probably vote against her.

The GOP base isn't fond of pro-choice, pro-gay northeastern liberals.

I think she'll come close in New Haven.

One-party town?  Not the latest Board of Aldermen! Grin

Why would she win 55-45 with an approval rating of 80%?

I agree.  I say she gets anywhere from 59 (if she does incredibly badly in her campaigning) to 67.

Well thats great Progress thats just what Rell needs, more Democrats to support her. Tongue

She hasn't DONE anything, she doesn't deserve this approval rating. I don't know what the hell is the matter with people around here.

Blumenthal not running for Gov. in 2002 was the most horrible campaign decision ever. This could all have been avoided.

What exactly do you expect a Governor to do?  Oftentimes, no news is good news.  Connecticut's economy is pretty stable from what I have heard, and she did get rid of the previous administration's cronies effectively.

Its that she got this approval rating by not being Rowland, not by anything she did herself. Don't get me wrong I'd much rather have Rell over a conservative, but the adulation she gets just seems excessive.

Rowland got out of prison this week, it was all over the local news.
