Good movie, but I would think you'd hate it and consider it left wing propaganda.

For me, I saw Knocked Up finally when it played on campus last night. Hilarious!

Black Hawk Down

Kind of hard to follow. I had a tough time remembering what character did what or why they were in that area or who was coming in, etc. It was mostly just shooting as far as I was concerned. But very cool action anyway.

Legally Blonde.

Funny, and Reese Witherspoon was very hot throughout the whole thing.

Bully.

Most of the sex scenes were unnecessary. Yes, I know how much it'll surprise you all for me saying that, but when you have cases where one character calls another one, there's no point in having the character getting called to be having sex. Then it just serves as an excuse to show sex. A bunch of other such scenes were the same.

But good otherwise. Those kids were f**king STUPID though.

Savior - Rather unknown but pretty gripping movie. I wish there was more movies about the Bosnian War, I find it rather interesting. Pretty gruesome and rather hard to watch at some scenes, but Dennis Quaid was awesome, considering he had to take a character who at the beginning is seen as a brutal killer and turn him into a sympathetic guy, and he did it very well. 8/10

Mean Creek - Very low budget indie film (not even a million dollars in the budget) that was awesome. Basically a look at these kids in rural Oregon and how they react to their plan that goes horribly wrong. The kids are actually great actors (including Macaulay Culkin's little brother) and it's gripping till the end. The last sequence is one of those that leaves you staring at the credits for a few seconds afterwords before you get up/turn it off. 10/10

Little Miss Sunshine.

Talk about overrated. I give it a 5/10.

City of God.

It didn't blow me away or anything, but was rather good. But for a story that supposedly was trying to be so realistic, it threw in a real Hollywood type twist at the end (involving a minor character and seemingly minor incident)

What exactly do you mean by realistic?

Isn't it supposed to be a portrayal of what life is actually like in Rio's slums?

Based on a true story too, although in such cases there's always some dramatization changes.

The Machinist.

It was a well done creepy film, but this whole type of concept has been done a million times already. You have to admire the length Christian Bale went to for the role though.

Heartbreak Kid

Pretty bad and they hid the two funniest scenes in the credits.

Is Malin Akerman naked though?

The United States of Leland.

Wasn't very good. Good concept, had potential, but it didn't go anywhere really, tried too hard to be "deep" the same way a goth teenager does, and was ultimately pointless.

Transformers.

What'd you expect from a big budget Hollywood summer flick. Enjoyable.

It reminded me of Independence Day, which is of the same ilk, and one of the greatest films ever made.

Goodfellas.

Could've cut down the middle a bit, it was kind of boring. The beginning and end were excellent of course.

Lions for Lambs

I thought it was an alright film. I couldn't buy Tom Cruise as a Republican Senator though. Why would the people of Illinois vote for him? My mum kept on referring to me to Andrew Garfield's character in the film. She said in a sense, I'm wasted talent.

He was from Illinois? Dumb. Sure you can't exactly cast Tom Cruise as someone from Texas or the deep south, but why not somewhere like Indiana or Arizona?

I thought it was cool how American Gangster paradoxically got you to root for both Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe's characters.

I want to see that so badly. I've discovered amazingly that it actually IS playing in Bismarck, ND, so if it still is in a week I can see it when I'm at home for Thanksgiving, instead of having to drive to the Twin Cities just to go to it.

The Dreamers.

The purpose of watching it was to see Eva Green naked, and in that case it definitely delivered. But it was a good story otherwise, even ignoring the fact that the ending made no sense.

Jackie Brown.

Eh, it was OK. I probably would've enjoyed it more if I didn't know it was by Tarantino, since it was more like a straightforward crime drama than a Tarantino film, and that's not what I was expecting.

1408.

Decent creepy horror film. The box and marketing greatly overstated Samuel L. Jackson's role though (unsurprisingly)
