Tucker and Dale vs. Evil

Not too bad.  Funny for the most part, the very end dragged a little.

Re-watched Paris Je t'aime yesterday night.

I watched that recently too. I had seen it at the cinema and was pleasantly suprised by how hot Gaspard Ulliel is many of the short films I'd forgotten about.

Seriously? I'm a tad disappointed in your taste there, I must say. Wink But he was the gay guy of the movie I suppose.

Same here. I thought it was a very nice collection of action set pieces. Nothing more, nothing less.

Also the black chick was very hot.

This.

Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy will probably be my next.

I went to an inexplicable midnight show of MI4.  M'eh.

I must say 2011 was an absolutely terrible year for movies.  By my count, there were about 8 films from 2010 that could have waited a year and won Best Picture.

Here's to hoping in 2012.

Saw War Horse last night.

Not my top favorite, but very good nonetheless.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

Entertaining but a bit confusing

Saw War Horse today.  Great cinematography and soundtrack.  The story was a bit too whimsical.   There's a great scene between two soldiers at the end that makes it all worth it though.

Agreed.

As for me, "28 days later". Awesome.

Citizen Kane. I can't believe I have lived this long without seeing it.

Assault on Precinct 13 (1976)

Some of the acting was a little stiff and the ending is somewhat predictable but the action is great. It also contains one solid "WOW HOLY F.UCK" scene.

Saw New Year's Eve in the cinema, sadly enough. The things one does for women.

Also saw The Fearless Vampire Killers by Polanski on DVD. Pretty weird. And, re-watched Adaptation and Eternal Sunshine at home.

I've seen The Iron Lady and The Artist. Both good, with The Artist being exceptional.

Yup. It was made up to me though. And I made clear it wouldn't be repeated. Wink

I think it's allright, but it has some really annoyingly slow/clumsy  scenes. I've seen it 3 or 4 times, though, so I may just be overtly annoyed when the awkward snow chase returns for the umpteenth time.

Yeah, I figured I would be unambiguous about where my 2012 loyalties are. I can't stomach Romney and co.

I'm not sure what is a sign of the apocalypse, my fresh red avatar or that they actually made 5 fast and furious movies Smiley

I watched Margin Call.  Very well acted. It was a simple "plot" but I really enjoyed some of the more subtle juxtapositions.

The Iron Lady... great film, the left might hate it because it doesn't demonise her... but doesn't sugar-coat what she did either.

Streep is magnificent.
