And James, live there? That's a scary thing to consider...

Hearst Castle is a crazy crazy place. I think I could do nutcase media baron who runs the world from his palatial house on a hill in California rather well thank you very much Tongue.

If you're aiming for Hearst/Kane, be my guest... Wink

Weeeell, it conflicts with my ambition to be a failed novelist....

Kane was a failed journalist, so there are similarities.

Snakes on a Plane.  Saw it last Friday at 11:55 PM after having about four large beers from a nearby microbrewery.  My friend and I laughed almost every time someone got attacked.  As soon as we saw that David Koechner was the co-pilot, the entire theater (including us) shouted "WHAMMY!" since he played Champ in Anchorman.

They all said it was such a horrible movie and that Gettysburg (1993) was better. I've seen both movies dozens of times and the critics are idiots if they think Gettysburg is better.

Great movie.

In the last couple weeks I've watched
Snakes On A Plane (good)
Accepted (decent)
Cry_Wolf (I liked it, though the critics didn't)
El Crimen del Padre Amaro (weird)

I just saw Accepted 3 days ago, I liked it.

I also just rented Capote, I thought it was really good.

I recommend both movies.

"Rumor Has It" (2005).  Jennifer Aniston, Kevin Costner, etc.  Romantic comedy is the genre I believe.

Capote was a movie I really liked. Hoffman was really, really good in it, I thought. When you've seen him in a beard the contrast is very striking.

Cars *embarassed* (with my girl-friend's younger siblings). It was ok for a children's movie, but very, very klichéed.

Really? Everyone I've spoken to who's seen it says it's really good. I mean, sure it's a clichéd, but virtually all commercial movies are. I generally like Pixar.

Well, I think I like Pixar too, though I can't keep count of different animated movies...sure, most commercial movies are fairly predictable, but this was a tad too much in that department. I felt like I had seen it a 100 times before. Granted, I had to see the dubbed version and that probably detracted from the experience.
