Out for Justice. Seagal at his best. Still very bad, at least the action was entertaining.

Hannibal Rising, pretty damn bad. Once they threw the Samurai thing in, it was dead.

Across The Universe

Horrible, without even the courtesy of being entertainingly bad through the most part.

To think my girlfriend almost dragged me to that one today.

An old 1960s Burl Ives Childrens Classic -- Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

I love those Christmas movies -- Rudolph, Frosty, and Santa.

By the way, yes, I am a CHRISTMAS FREAK.  I already have my Christmas Tree up, and have had it up for two and a half weeks since Monday, October 8.  I start listening to Christmas Music heavily in September and watch the Christmas Movies in October.

Saw two lately:

The Brave One - OK, this was completely implausible. Jodie Foster buys a gun barely knowing how to use it, kills a few people in self-defense, and then instantly becomes this bad-ass killing machine who can take out hardened gang members and crime bosses with ease. Uh huh. There was also a ton of plot holes surrounding the ending, and some near the beginning too (what was vigilante about killing the guy in the gas station? That was obvious self-defense!) One thing I did like about it though was the obvious homages to Taxi Driver, although they might've been a bit too obvious. (30 years ago Jodie Foster is a teenaged prostitute rescued by Robert DeNiro, now she rescues the teenaged prostitute.)

Idiocracy - This movie reminded me of Mike Naso. It was funny yes, but also rather depressing in that manner.
I watched Idiocracy recently, too. What did you find funny about it?

There Will Be Blood

"I drink your milkshake"

film is way overrated, I preferred No Country for Old Men by a long shot.

Hmmm, you must be quite mature. I'd expect that would put your average 14 year old to sleep.
It did just that to my sister. She fell asleep around the part that Plainview goes to the ranch for the first time. I still think the movie is very overrated, albeit one of the best of the year.

Really?  I thought the plot was almost painfully standard.

I thought the concept was excellent and the story was solid enough. Toy Story is one I'd place at the bottom of the heap, though that's just a distaste for the film itself.

Incredibles
Monsters Inc.
Ratatouille
WALL-E
Cars
Bugs Life
Toy Story

I might be in the extreme minority here, but I dislike all of these movies, and the whole "animated anthropomorphic thing-that-doesn't-usually-talk-but-guess-what-it's-talking" genre. I didn't even like them as a kid, although they are really a feat of animation.

Romeo and Juliet (1968) - This is how the play should be portrayed on screen.  It's leagues ahead of the 90's crap.

A friend of mine showed that in her English class several years ago.  It didn't go so well, due to a certain scene in particular.  Now she shows the 1996 version Tongue

Ok...tell the scene!
the one with the boob, probably.
