I finally got to see Underworld 2 over the weekend.  It wasn't too bad.  I think I liked the first one better.

"The Benchwarmers."  It was actually quite good.  Laughed through most of it.

I finally saw "The DaVinci Code" two weekends ago, and "Mission Impossible 3" last weekend.  "X-Men 3" will be this weekend (if I can find the time).  After that . . . I think I'll go back to my video collection and stay at home.  hahaha

I saw X-Men: The Last Stand the other day. It was pretty good.

Yup, saw it Saturday night.  Pretty good.  Seemed shorter than the other two movies though.

Good movie.  Last one I saw was "Pirates of the Carribean 2."  A very good movie.

Dead Man's Chest.
Part one was way better, but of course that's too be expected in a quickly-made unplanned sequel.

It's been nearly four years since the first one and the end of that one left it open for a sequel. I wouldn't say that's quick or unplanned.
I think the sequel wasn't *planned* ahead, though. Anyways they took longer filming than they hoped to, which accounts for the four years. I don't think they took as long with the script or gave as much attention to it as they did with part 1. In fact, I'm sure of it.

Like I said, I thought it was a very good movie.  Definitely had a different flair to it (much darker/serious . . . relatively speaking), but still had the same elements which made the first one enjoyable.  Making it a part I of II, with the second movie being shot at the same time, you are naturally left with a "half the story" feeling, but I think they did a good job of making a whole picture out of Part I.

Go ask for a refund before you unwrap it.

It was a Sci-Fi channel night for me.  Tongue

I agree.  Plenty of twists and turns, with an ending I wasn't expecting.  Definitely worth watching in the theaters.

Pan's Labrinyth - It was not what I thought it would be.  Very cool, but very violent (and very Spanish).

A Clockwork Orange. I can't believe that I never bothered to see it before. My friends didn't seem to like it much, but I found it oddly appealing, perhaps because I have a tendency to enjoy really f**ked up movies.

It's a classic!

I decided on Stardust.  It was a very funny/good movie.  I recommend it.

the wife and i went to see the bourne ultimatum tuesday night.  i give it a c-

Did you like the first two?  I thought the third one was just about as good as the other two.

As far as my latest movie, I was roped into seeing "Mr. Bean's Holiday."  It wasn't bad, and was definitely better than the first one, though I would rather have waited to see it on cable rather than spend the money at the theatre.  I want to see "The Last Legion" still.

"3:10 to Yuma"

It was pretty good, especially for a modern Western (which are few and far between).  The intro was a little light, and the ending was a bit abrupt, but over all, the action and story development was very good.  Hopefully this will trigger a few more Westerns.

It didn't have any annoying modern rock songs playing in it, did it?

hahaha . . . no, none that I recall.  Most of the music was limited to the scene shots, and that was primarily soft instrumental.  I don't believe there were any songs with lyrics in the background at any time.

Beowulf (in 3-D).  Couldn't find an IMAX close enough that was showing it.  Sad  The movie itself was very good, and a must see in 3-D if you can.  The artists out-did themselves with the technology.

I just saw Prince Caspian.  Very good, though missing some of the magic of the first movie.  However, what is surprising was how little turnout there was at the theatre tonight.  My movie only had 13 people in it, and I doubt that any of the showings of Indiana Jones was sold out.  Almost looked like it was a weekday showing.
