I hereby resign from the First Ministership of the Commonwealth of Frémont.

I honestly have done nothing as FM this term - although I am proud that during my past Ministry; YIMBY laws and general good government laws were enacted.

Sooooo as the most senior MP with our lack of Speaker I’m constitutionally in line to take the FMship. I may have stalled on this for a week. We obviously need to settle on a new FM who can shepherd the region and uplift parliamentary activity, as all our recent FMs have needed to.

So ignoring the strict constitutional processes for a moment, we do need some debate on the path forward with a new FM. While I am by far the most senior and experienced Parliamentarian, given my ideology and political leanings I’m probably unacceptable to the voters of Fremont as leader. So this process will come down to internal discussions between Labor and Peace, and I’d hope they can make a start on such conversations.

In the meantime I’m neither outright accepting nor rejecting the acting FMship until there’s a semblance of a plan for our glorious region. And as the de facto regional Elections officer I can sort out or delegate early elections once we’re ready for them if the constitution doesn’t give us quite enough time.
