Why the change of opinion from when you voted for this very resolution?

That wasn't the only thing that that did and frankly I honestly wasn't thinking about term limits much at that time. If I was I probably would have tried to change it then which is what I'm doing now.

Even if we never had new senators, ever, it would still take us six years and eight months before we'd run out of candidates for the position of PPT.  Given how powerful incumbency does tend to be when people are not blatantly doing a horrible job, I don't think I agree with this.  The argument I had against other term limits does not really apply here for the reason above.

The Senate has rejected this amendment to our Rules once, and I am tiring of the Senate being asked the same question again and again. This is getting like Denmark where the government holds referendums until it gets the answer it wants. I oppose this resolution.

This resolution has enough votes to pass. Senators have 24 hours to change their votes.

Masterjedi for Dictator of the Senate!!!

I've already said in the previous debate that I'll only serve 4 terms and then maybe in the future serve again. That first means that I'd even be elected two more times or that I will run again for re-election in June.
