I would like only Democrats from Connecticut to vote on this please--I'm trying to get a good view so I can make a correct decision for my prediction map.

I think we only have, like, one or two Democrats from Connecticut here, and they're both pretty darn liberal, so you're not likely to get an accurate reading from the members of this forum.

I believe that polls have seen Lieberman sounding thumping Lamont at the moment, however.

I think most every poster on this forum who will vote in the real election will vote for Lamont, from what I've seen.  But Lieberman will win easily.

How is Lieberman and his massive pro-censorship campaigns pro-freedom and liberals who oppose it therefore hate freedom?

Lieberman's whining about violence and sex in the media means he has to go. Period. Such prudery can not be tolerated.

Absolutely not.  Crazy psycho Democracts like Lieberman and Ben Nelson bring down the party.  They make us seem wishy washy.  We need liberals who want a liberal soceity with bountiful freedoms and rivers of milk and honey.  Conservative Democrats are like Jews for Jesus.  No one likes them, they just make a fool of themselves.

Nah, Nelson's fine, he's from Nebraska.  I can't complain about anything we get out of Nebraska.  But CT is a different story.

Of course, Lieberman is fine on virtually every issue but Iraq, but he's seemed to make it a point now to blindly support every Bush administration policy there and it's pissing me off.

You didn't mention John Kerry in the "wishy washy category"--he flip-flops everytime a new poll on X comes out.

By the way, he greatly exceeded expectations yesterday.

He got over 33% of the delegate's votes at the state convention yesterday. He was expected to only get around 15%.

Lieberman.  Lamont is a joke.

Lamont owns Halliburton stock by the way.  Therefore, he supports Cheney, is a warmonger, and should be disqualified from the nomination by default.
[/sarcasm]

Seriously, though, he does own stock in Haliburton.

I am a liberal in Connecticut.

I like Senator Lieberman, and I'll probably vote for him. I do know a few others (actually a bit to the right of me) who say they would choose Lamont over Lieberman, they feel this war has no end and has gone on long enough.

CT has very strict voting rules as far as registration goes, none of this "open to all voters" nonsense that I saw in other states during the '04 primaries. Therefore, there will be zero Republicans voting on August 8, when our Dem. Senate Primary will be held. This will probably help Lamont more than Joe.

You have a very good point here--if Lieberman loses the Dem. nom., do you think he'll win as an Ind.?
