Imperato has financial resources, Gilchrist has the recognition, Wyatt can appeal to a wider range of voters, but has limited financial resources, and little name recognition.

Chesney; I think the nation is in a very similar mood to what it was when Perot was successful.

I doubt any of these candidates can have much influence on the race, but you never know.

I'd say it's a tie between Russo and Gilchrist. I'll vote Russo because I like him more.

Russo has a lot of media outlets and could thus spread his message with good ease. Gilchrist on the other hand has high name recognition because of the minutemen. Both could have a big impact.

None, most people won't know who they are and won't care about them.

None, most people won't know who they are and won't care about them.

That may be true, but that doesn't mean one of them isn't more viable than the others, which is the question.  "None" doesn't really make sense as a response to this poll. Tongue

I believe it is too soon to tell. Because the immigration issue is getting such play right now I voted Gilchrist but lots can change before 2008.

I wanted to say him, but he's not in the list above, so I let it go. But now I'll chime in too:

Blumberg? Since when was he considered a potential independent candidate? He's a liberal Republican, but I don't see what would make his a good independent presidential candidate.

I love Lou Dobbs to death, but I highly doubt he could be an independent candidate. Too much controversy.
