It isn't just Harris, it is anti-Bush feeling and Republican fatigue.  Harris does happen to be a perfect lightning rod for those pervasive feelings, however.

Here's a golden one replying to asking who the likely winner is:

Harris. She's highly underrated.

So far the Senate picture is murky but I see a lot of misreads, here and in the media.
