I think Bouchard would be the best here but still a double-digit win (ten-twelve points) for Stabenow.

If Bouchard's the nominee and emphasises the economy and competence, he has a good chance to win. If he runs on a security first platform, he loses by 5%.

I expect this race to be within 5% as most competitive Michigan races tend to be.

I disagree. Open races are competitive, but incumbent races in the senate are not that close.
