Looks like Gabu is expelled. Which means there will be a special election soon.  In that case, I declare my candidacy for the District 5 Senate seat.

3 hours and 42 minutes late. Sorry.

Haha, did anyone else declare in time?

Anyway, can I declare that I will be running as a write-in?

I'll be running for Governor of the Southeast, with Bacon King running for Senate.

https://uselectionatlas.org/AFEWIKI/index.php/Election_Schedule_Constitutional_Amendment

Did the Southeast change their election date? If not, you may have to run as a write-in.

I'm running for the D5 senate seat because I can

wait which seat is being vacated

god i'm so high right now

D5.

I wonder who's going to win Ebowed's seat now? I don't have a clue who could it be.

Well, if Everett gets too high to take the oath of office again, at least Jesus can't just appoint someone to the seat, since it isn't regional.
for the record, this is the first time someone will say they're stoned in their candidacy declaration and still win by over 70% of the vote. I still support CultureKing, but this is the Pacific we're talking about.

Perhaps if I managed to get god to endorse me...

While I'm behind Everett for this election, I would certainly be willing to supporting CultureKing (JCP-WA) for something in the future... Wink

If the Pacific Lt. Governor election does not result in a winner, I will be a candidate again next weekend.

I'm not sure the Pacific's rules on it, but in general, if you are defeated by None of the Above, you are ineligable to appear on the ballot for the office next weekend.

I could not find anything specific about this in the Pacific Constitution, so please consult local law for more details.  I'm sure Governor Jesus would be glad to help you with this!

The regional constitution does not mention anything about none of the above.

In such cases we generally fall back on the rules of the federal constitution. This is the precedent we have set so I would suspect that it will be the case here.

Alcon made a "I'm running for Lt. Governor forever until I say otherwise" declaration a while ago.

Running for Vice-President with Bgwah.

Undecided on simultaneously seeking re-election to the Senate.

Just confirming that I accept him as my VP, if necessary.

Sad

Bgwah vs Moderate was shaping up to be one of the most exciting elections in years, IMO. Then he drops out at the last minute and makes it one of the most boring. Sigh.

Phil was banned from holding office for six months as a punishment because he was registered to vote with two accounts (his own and Naso's).

However, luckily for Phil, the Supreme Court decided the AG improperly attained evidence against Phil (obtaining IP addresses without a search warrant) and threw the case out, allowing Phil to take office.

Like I've said numerous types, the JCP has been lucky. We don't monopolize anything.

In October 08, we were lucky Mr. Moderate dropped out at the last minute.

In Feb 09, we were lucky the AndrewCT/Duke ticket never materialized.

In June 09, well... we ran a pretty good campaign. But even then, we were lucky that invalidated votes were disproportionately PiT votes.

In October 09, we were lucky the Jedi/Franzl ticket fell apart.

Overall, June was definitely our greatest achievement. For once, the victor wasn't a friggin' moderate. For once, it wasn't a friggin' unity ticket, which, even though I was elected on one, are kind of lame.

But it is so much more fun when there is a monolithic, "all-powerful" entity to beat up on.

I also think you deserve our unyielding scorn until the secret to the afro-smiley is finally revealed.

We were going to tell everyone if Bacon King won, too!! Wink
