How do you possibly get off calling yourself a "leftist"?  Name one left wing viewpoint that you hold.  Even if you can, you are more right than left, and you know it.

I am a little bit of a fiscal conservative, besides that, I don't hold any right wing view points. I favor the preservation of choice, am supportive of gay rights, desire environmental protections for biodiversity, have vehemently opposed taxes that disproportionately affect the poor, desire health care reform, and am a fair trader. I have consistently opposed all religious nutjobs, only believe in cutting taxes during times of necessity (recessions), not just cutting taxes for the sake of cutting taxes. Let's be real, if we just campaign on tax cuts forever, pretty soon there will be no taxes left to cut, and I support a balanced budget mandate for at least 70% of budgets.

Then why are you in the RPP?

Yeah to be fair, you sound a lot closer to the DA than the RPP.

The DA would be more than happy to welcome him!

I totally agree!

Pretty sure it's too late for that (might be too late for PS's suspension as well).

I thought it may be for me, but I figured I should make the announcement anyway.

Well, if for some reason, you get elected, you can always refuse to take your seat. Hopefully by then, you'll have resigned to be GM anyway! Smiley

With Barnes running for Senate, and most of the Assembly running for re-election, I guess I'm going to do what I never everity ever expected to do.

I announce that I once again, will be running for re-election.

We have an election for Governor in December?

No, but I think he's just preparing.

Two left-wingers?

I suppose I will run for the Northeast Senate seat.

I wouldn't really call myself a Socialist, but anyhoo, welcome to the race! Smiley

My only beliefs that have changed are my economic ones. I support mutualism, essentially, and I recognise property (as long as put to good use) as being absolutely crucial.

As for your own beliefs, you're a conservative libertarian, while I have no qualms with completely socially liberal policies.

-----------------------------------

By the way, I've had an idea. Maybe we should all have a debate, like the US presidential ones? That would be rather interesting.

There usually are Debates hosted by a Newspaper. Smiley I'd be willing to participate.

I am running in the special election for the Northeast Assembly.

I suggest you send a PM to the Lt. Gov. very quickly telling him to place your name on the ballot. The election starts in about five minuets. Smiley

How does this work. I'm going to run for president. Then I can use that in case I ever do run for office or the real presidency. This site can be my experience.

I think it would be rather an embarrasment. I mean just ask Fluffy or Phil.

There are plenty of people who would vote for a small town guy like me. Plus I relate well to the voters and can campaign from my cell phone by making youtube ads.

LOL
