The world should stay as it was. The French were too hasty in the dethroning of their monarch, and look where that got them! Monarchies are the easiest, and most manageable form of government. Rebellions should be kept to a minimum, using any means possible, even if that does mean that certain human rights be put by the wayside. In the end, everyone should just get along, or?

The world needs change. Too long have countries been under the rule of a single monarch, with uncertainty among citizens as to living conditions. Yes, a monarchy may still be an option, but the public's opinion must be accounted for. The freedom of religion, speach, and equality in the court of law are human rights no one person should be allowed to take away from another. Posed with a problem, the people will speak up.

The Traditionals

A moralistic, conscientious citizen who wants to maintain a status-quo by holding on to traditions and material possessions. People from this social milieu attach a lot of importance to respect, harmony, sense of duty, justice, (financial) security and maintaining familiar customs and habits that have often been passed on by birth. Daily life follows orderly and established lines. Work is considered to be a duty and important, but should mainly be done as a means of supporting oneself. Spare time is usually spent in the family circle. Family life plays a very important part and the division of family roles is generally quite traditional.

The other profiles are less applicable to you and are shown below in decreasing order of appropriateness:

The Social Climber

A career-focused individualist with a distinct fascination with social status, new technologies, risk and suspense. Social success and climbing up the social ladder are important motives for the social climbers' behaviour. Their happiness is largely determined by their career ('my work is my life'). They also seem to attach a lot of importance to showing to others what they have achieved. Their general attitude is clearly materialistic; both earning (a lot of) money and consuming are important. Social climbers lead a very busy and hurried life and barely have time to take care of household chores such as food shopping and cooking. People in this milieu are generally status-sensitive and strongly performance-oriented. There doesn't seem to be much time for rest and recuperation. They consider family life to be the ideal lifestyle, but don't usually have any strong family involvement.

The other profiles are less applicable to you and are shown below in decreasing order of appropriateness:

    Modern mainstream
    Convenience oriented
    Kosmopolitans
    Upper conservatives
    Traditional mainstream
    Postmodern hedonists
    Post materialists

Dear sir/madam,
Thank you for completing the Mentality Value Test. On the basis of your answers, we have now determined which value profile best matches your answers. Your profile shows most similarities with the The Postmodern Hedonist.

The Postmodern Hedonist

A pioneer of a culture of experience, in which experiments and breaking moral and social conventions have become separate objectives. Post-modern hedonists are individualistic and show a strong self-determination. They also attach a lot of importance to self-improvement and personal growth. People in this milieu have an independent lifestyle and find it very important to be able to make their own decisions about the things that concern them. It is remarkable how many post-modern hedonists are self-employed. Work is important, but not sacred: leisure activities can also provide intrinsic satisfaction. Post-modern hedonists enjoy art and culture (visiting museums, cabaret and theatres), but also go out a lot and are very sporty. The traditional family pattern less often prevails in this milieu.

The other profiles are less applicable to you and are shown below in decreasing order of appropriateness:
Kosmopolitans
Post materialists
Convenience oriented
Social climbers
Upper conservatives
Modern mainstream
Traditional mainstream

I agree. I prefer to manage my own life rather than have someone do it for me. I hate the work-life culture in America today. There's a lot more to life than making money and having a job.

Dear sir/madam,
Thank you for completing the Mentality Value Test. On the basis of your answers, we have now determined which value profile best matches your answers. Your profile shows most similarities with the The Upper Conservatives.

The Upper Conservatives

A citizen from the liberal-conservative layer in society, who wants to clear the way for technological development, but strongly resists social and cultural innovation. People from this social milieu attach a lot of importance to maintaining traditional standards and values on the one hand and to protecting their social status on the other hand. Living and acting in observance of etiquette is considered extremely important and their identity is largely defined by work and performance. There are a lot of art and culture lovers in the upper conservatives' milieu. They have a positive attitude toward technological developments, but are conservative on a social and cultural level. Social relationships usually have quite a hierarchical tendency; family relationships play a central part in the upper conservative's life.

The other profiles are less applicable to you and are shown below in decreasing order of appropriateness:

Retook the Republican/Democrat quiz and it turns out I have moved even further to the left on immigration and now even slightly lean to the left on the issue!  The far-left on immigration really bothers me, though.

I took the political matrix test in the first time in what seems like years and I got the result you should see below my name. I still have to grow out of this libertarian phase damn.

I'll try some more quizzes over the next few days and see where I'm at on those as well.
