You are a right social authoritarian.
Right: 4.48, Authoritarian: 4.11

Foreign Policy: +2.64

Culture: +5.78

Hmmm... the last time I took this three years ago as a Facebook app I was (+1.88,+5.38)

I've been drifting up and to the left on these things for years and the trend seems to finally have reversed itself. I think when I took this years ago, I was still pro-death penalty so that would explain the social score coming down a little.

I'm not sure why the fiscal one moved so much to the right but I tend to get noticeably different answers on the economic scores every time I take these things. I think it's easier to intrepret economic questions differently each time.

I took this 18 months ago and got a 125/400. I don't think my views have changed on anything really since then. I guess I must be feeling extra conservative tonight. I think I must have done more 8's and 2's and fewer 7's and 3's.

A bit more moderate-hero ish than I usually get on quizzes. Again it had some odd options.

Sparta!

12 traditional,  -2 liberties,  4 capitalist,  0 isolationist and  2 populist!

This day we rescue a world from mysticism and tyranny and usher in a future brighter than anything we can imagine! Er, well, "tyranny" is a relative term. You can do without the tyranny of kings, the tyranny of dictators, the tyranny of governments. The tyranny of the mob, though -- that's perfectly OK. There's no room in society for wimps, malcontents and non-team-players. Do your patriotic duty, and you'll be looked after. Wuss out, and we'll throw you off that rock.

This was a strange and unexpected result for me. Perhaps the problem was that on most of the questions I didn't find myself actually caring about any of the answers.

Your result for The Political Moral Systems Test ...
The Liberal Internationalist.
31% Utilitarian, 92% Nationalist, 73% Liberal and 55% Individualist!

You support the values of the "liberal consensus," as it existed in post-war America; a market economy nevertheless tempered by a strong social safety net, support for democratic forms of government, and an assertive foreign policy.  You are similar to the US presidents between Roosevelt and Reagan, Barack Obama, and Nelson Rockefeller.

Right: 2.66, Authoritarian: 3.47

On the left side are pacifists and anti-war activists. On the right side are those who want a strong military that intervenes around the world. You scored: -0.63

Culture:

Where are you in the culture war? On the liberal side, or the conservative side? This scale may apply more to the US than other countries. You scored: 3.61

Conservative/Progressive score: 5
You are a social moderate. You think the progressive movement is overall well meaning, but sometimes it goes too far. On issues like abortion and affirmative action, you see the negatives of both extremes on the issue. You probably value religion, but at the same time you think it should still stay separate from the government

Capitalist Purist/Social Capitalist score: 1
You're a Capitalist Purist. You believe that the market should be completely free, and that the invisible hand of the market will make sure that the people get what they want and will do it in the most efficient way possible. You believe in small government, less taxes, and more privatization.

Libertarian/Authoritarian score: 10
You're an Authoritarian. You believe that that, left to their own, many people will do immoral or harmful things. You despise drug users, pornography, violence, and all other things that you consider immoral. You also think that security is often more important than protecting rights. You think children need to be protected from seeing these things so it doesn't warp their minds, and that the will of the majority sometimes is more important than the rights of the minority.

Pacifist/Militarist score: 8
You're a Moderate. You think that in very rare occasions, the United States should invade a country in order to make the world better by spreading democracy or ending a tyrants rule. You also think that defense is very important, and we shouldn't lower the defense budget. You think that, while the Iraq War probably was a mistake, that we can make the world a better place by sticking with it and spreading democracy in the middle east.

Wow that's a bizarrely bad description of me. The questions and categories here could use some major reworking.

Australian Quiz:

Liberals 58%
Labor 25%
Greens 7%

It's interesting just how many questions on the Australian quiz have to do with natural resources.

Hmm. I'd certainly never identify as a "liberal Economic Authoritarian" whatever that means. I'm not sure what modifier goes with what. Also, a ton of the questions were really leading and presumptuous.

Ohio:
1. Walnut Creek, OH 44687
2. Berlin, OH 44610
3. Mt Eaton, OH 44659
4. Winesburg, OH 44690
5. Benton Ridge, OH 45816

4 Amish Country and 1 Putnam County. It doesn't seem to care that I checked Urban I guess.

Wisconsin:
1. Oostburg, WI 53070
2. Embarrass, WI 54933
3. Lebanon, WI 53047
4. Potter, WI 54160
5. Clyman, WI 53016

Hilariously, if I mark the exact opposite on every question except the Urban/Rural, I get my neighborhood.

Social Con.
-16 authority, 2 economy

Social conservative. The economy doesn't trouble you, but you think any society needs clear rules to survive. Everyone has a place, or a calling. You probably drive a truck or an SUV. You support the troops. You believe in God. You think of yourself as an Average Joe or Jane, and in many parts of the country, you are.

Oldies, how are you a Republican? Have you seen where that site places Obama on their compass based on what his answers would be to that same test? I feel like their test us supposed to put one a good deal the right of their atlas result unless you are truly answering as an ideologically pure leftist.

The political compass is designed to give everyone leftwing scores and claim all of the mainstream politicians are far right. The conclusion everyone who takes that test is supposed to come to is they're to the left of Obama on both axes, so the time is right for our Trotskyist revolution, or at least that no one should ever vote for Republicans. I'd love to see what answers they ascribe to Obama to make him more socially conservative than me.
