Based on your responses, YOU are a…   Staunch Conservative
Along with 9% of the public

What They Believe

Extremely critical of the federal government
Favor an assertive foreign policy
Pro-business; against stricter environmental laws and regulations
Strongly opposed to abortion and same-sex marriage
Convinced the 2010 health care law will be bad for the country
View immigrants as a threat to traditional American customs and values
Nearly half believe President Obama born outside the United States

Who They Are

84% are Republicans
72% agree with the Tea Party
More than nine-in-ten are non-Hispanic white
The oldest typology group (61% are age 50 and older)
56% are male; most are married and financially comfortable
57% own guns and 57% attend church every week
54% regularly watch Fox News
More watch Glenn Beck and listen to Rush Limbaugh than any other group

I guess I'm one of the 9% of Staunch Conservatives who supports gay marriage lol, and isn't obsessed with religion. I'm surprised I didn't get Libertarian... although my immigration views were quite right wing.

1. Blairites: Blairites support the introduction of quasi-markets into public services, and are noted for having an Atlanticist foreign policy. Blairites are criticized by some for not being socialist enough whilst in government. (100%)

2. Brownite: The main difference between Blairites and Brownites is tribal, and stems from the 1994 leadership election. There are ideological differences as well, as Brownites are less critical of the unions, are opposed to private sector interference in public services and are more socially liberal than Blairites. (82%)

3. Moderates: Moderates are more economically right-wing than the SCG and the Bennites, but are as socially progressive. (73%)

4. Bennites: Bennites generally believe in a republican system of governance in Britain and an elected/the abolition of the Lords. (3%)

5. Socialist Campaign Group: This group is on the hard-left of the party, and is deeply opposed to New Labour. (0%)

Obviously as expected lol.

You are, at heart, an optimist. Coupled with a willingness to be decisive, this translates into the belief that you – that we! – can change the world. No problem is too great if we as a country band together to tackle it. This approach can be challenging when the reality of daily concerns take over – you’re a visionary, not a micro-manager after all, and you probably make some poor and hasty decisions as a result. You especially have an open and welcoming attitude towards the rest of the world. Not only are other countries our partners against poverty, disease, and oppression, their peoples are welcome to become a permanent part of our nation. Together, we are unstoppable.

This got me so wrong.

Interesting test. I quite liked how the green dot moved as you answered each question.

Anyway, almost dead on Neo-Conservative.

instead of just posting the results how about explaining how you answered...

Since it would literally take years explaining each separate question. Plus, nobody else does it, so I'm just following the trend.

Conservative/Progressive score: 6
You are a social moderate. You think the progressive movement is overall well meaning, but sometimes it goes too far. On issues like abortion and affirmative action, you see the negatives of both extremes on the issue. You probably value religion, but at the same time you think it should still stay separate from the government

Capitalist Purist/Social Capitalist score: 4
You are a Moderate Capitalist. You support an economy that is by and large a free market, but has public programs to help people who can't help themselves or need a little help. Pretty much you believe in the American economy how it currently is.

Libertarian/Authoritarian score: 9
You're an Authoritarian. You believe that that, left to their own, many people will do immoral or harmful things. You despise drug users, pornography, violence, and all other things that you consider immoral. You also think that security is often more important than protecting rights. You think children need to be protected from seeing these things so it doesn't warp their minds, and that the will of the majority sometimes is more important than the rights of the minority.

Pacifist/Militarist score: 12
You're a Militarist. You believe that since the United States has so much power in the world, it has a responsibility to keep the world safe. You think that if the US does not exert its power in the world, it may eventually lose its power, and that we can not look weak in the face of terrorists, and must take them out where they live.

Overall, you would most likely fit into the category of Republican.

I'm surprised I didn't get Neo-conservative Republican.

You got 104 points.
Looky here, we've got a Center-Right person. You're most likely a Christian who's displeased at the lack of moral fiber in today's society, right? Even though you are constantly berated by the media, your policies likely are the best for a strong America. For fun, here are where some other major political figures would score (out of 144): George W. Bush: 94 John Kerry: 58 Ralph Nader: 12 Howard Dean: 34 Colin Powell: 82 Joe Lieberman: 70 John Edwards: 52 Harold Browne: 90 Michael Savage: 108 Me: 104

Your result for The Foreign Policy School Test ...
"Classic" Neocon"
You scored 9 Force, -3 Institutions, and 3 Ideals!

You want to change the world for the better, you're willing to use force to do it, and you don't particularly care what the rest of the world thinks. On behalf of the world, I hope that your notion of changing it for the better agrees with mine, or, if it doesn't, that you don't live in a country with the means to pursue your agenda. You are probably a disgruntled former liberal who writes angry editorials that are published in the very newspapers you denigrate as elitist and liberal.

I just love the biased result statements. Tongue

You are a Free Marketeer, also known as a fiscal conservative. You believe in free-market capitalism, tax cuts, and protecting your hard-earned cash from pick-pocketing liberal socialists.

You are a Reality-Based Intellectualist, also known as the liberal elite. You are a proud member of what's known as the reality-based community, where science, reason, and non-Jesus-centric thought reign supreme.

I felt like shooting myself with the options on the liberal quiz, lol.

United States of Nike

0 traditional, 2 liberties, 6 capitalist, -2 isolationist and 0 populist!

Our Market, which art on Wall Street, hallowed be thy name! Thy free-trade zone come, thy will be done, around the globe as it is in America! You'd be perfectly happy to see the entire government privatized, auctioned off to the highest bidder, and your culture exported to the whole world in shiny packaging. Three cheers for freedom -- the freedom to choose a brand, the freedom to express yourself through your purchases, the freedom to Just Do It, the freedom to mute the TV during the information breaks until the commercials come back on!

A more conservative, mainstream version of Goldwater's 'World Bazaar' it seems.

18th Century
You scored 83 capitalist, 33 puritan, 0 isolationist, and 100 democratic!

You keep Friedman's "Capitalism and Freedom" on your nightstand.

Conservatism (Liberty Test)
You scored 33Positive, 46 Negative!

You believe there should be moral guidelines in place for society to work well and that any change should be slow to ensure order. You think that the government should mostly stay out of the economy and that it is mostly down to the individual. To you, liberty is the freedom to be able to pursue your own interests in a stable society and getting rewarded for your own hard work.

Balanced Freedom
46 Keynesian, 46 Chicago, 23 Austrian

You are in favor of a free market, and quite a bit of individual freedom. That said, you don't really fit in any one school of thought. A little Keynesianism, a little Chicago School methods, and a bit of Austrianism all sprinkled around. You just know you want a working market, and you support it, but you have no consistent methodology guiding you.

I'm guessing this makes me a form of moderate hero.

Wow, you've become a lot more moderate recently.

I think the US election and the 2012 forum pushed me to the right originally. Tongue
Now I'm slowly drifting back to my moderate roots.

It's more economics I've moved leftwards on, I'm still the same on foreign and social policy.

You are a center-left moderate social authoritarian. (Centre-left?) O_o
Left: 1.76, Authoritarian: 1.17

On the left side are pacifists and anti-war activists. On the right side are those who want a strong military that intervenes around the world. You scored: 5.42

Where are you in the culture war? On the liberal side, or the conservative side? This scale may apply more to the US than other countries. You scored: -0.36

So basically I'm a slightly left wing, authoritarian, Bush-esque foreign policy guy while being on the cultural fence. Hmm. Okay.

Your top match for What type of libertarian are you? is:
Neolibertarian
The government is very misguided or just stupid in enacting too many laws and regulations that negatively affect our lives. You favour repealing these laws but in a reform-minded manner. Overall, the Libertarians are too doctrinaire and need to focus on arguments people care about. Further, NAFTA and the WTO are useful, and the Libertarians absolutely must have an aggressive foreign policy. Isolationism is a failed track, it's important to fight a vigorous war on terror, possibly including the war in Iraq, to defend liberty. Republicans, Republican Liberty Caucus, some Libertarians, many independents. (100%)
