I doubt that India could afford the olympics only 6 years after the Comm games, but I would love to see them in India before anther US games.
Commonwealth games? These do include cricket, right? Where in India are they going to be held?

2010 New Delhi.

No, they only included Cricket in 1998, but I wouldnt be surprised if the Indians reintroduce it. The do include Netball and Lawn Bowls though.

Somewhere in the US would be nice obviously, because I doubt I'll be interested in traveling outside of North America for the Olympics in 2016.

Any city that is above 1500m you can rule out. World records are now in doubt.
Distance from the equator has a more significant impact.
