The English language evolves and changes. Opebo is the trendsetter in this case.

In that case, I have changed the definition of "BRTD" to mean "doofus."

I'm a trendsetter.

ROFLMAO, language evolution refers to a large population, not several members of an internet forum. If people started talking like this in real life, I'd shoot myself.

And no, I'm not "an old," at least in comparison to most members here.

I dunno. Perhaps statements made in anger about neighborhood kids on my lawn...

In all seriousness...(although the previous post of mine is true)...they've never really qualified their remarks about why I seem like an old person...perhaps I just come off that way...many people say that about me...

They have told me (my mom in particular) to loosen up and enjoy myself.

Time for my fiber.

We were making fun of a guy I work with the other day for eating fiber and prunes.  He's 23.

You always seemed like a loose, laid-back guy to me, so this surprises me.  I actually had you down as a subtle wiseass troublemaker.  Pretty funny how impressions can differ.

I certainly am a subtle wiseass troublemaker...as for the loose, laid back vs uptight...really differs on the situation

Well, I'm glad to hear I wasn't totally wrong in my impression.  I see you as being the type of guy who can incite trouble without getting tagged for it most of the time, by getting others to do at least some of your dirty work.  And then you can enjoy the whole thing from the sidelines, and don't have to deal with getting in too much trouble.

Maybe that's why your parents think you act like an old man.  You've probably fooled them pretty well about some of the stuff you've done and been up to over the years.

These are just hunches, of course.  Let me know how close to correct they are.

My dad has a dog, but I don't.  His dog is doing great.

Well, I'm a little past you angus and TCash101, so where does that leave me?

You seem to have a lot of life left in you, angus, so I wouldn't worry too much, man.

The first part seems pretty accurate...I tend to have the talent/ability to get what I want done without always looking like I played a major role in it occurring. If you know what I mean.

As for my parents...no deliberate attempt to fool...but then again, they don't really inquire either...but if they'd probably have some sort of strange respect for the "intelligence" necessary to carry it out.

As for the dog thing...I was grasping at the last few straws of my joke about your "love" for dogs. Ah well...time to draw up the death certificate for that one.

Hah, dude I forgot about that one.  Now I feel stupid. Tongue  I guess the right answer is -- things are going GREAT with the dog....Cheesy

I'm happy to see that I had the right basic impression of you.  Many of the guys on here tend to be goody-two-shoes in a lot of ways, but I had you just a little below Jake in terms of ability to stir up trouble.  Jake is more in-your-face about it, more the type of guy who does stuff and almost wants to get tagged, while you seem like more of a subtle troublemaker, as I said, the sort who tends to get away with it.  Both types are a lot of fun to hang out with. Cheesy  Most of my friends fall into one of those categories or the other.  I'd much rather hang out with troublemakers than people who follow the rules; it's a lot more fun. Tongue
