HP. She's a real disappointment and acting like a senator from WV. I have much more respect for Manchin being a center or center-right Dem, but Sinema is from a D-trending battleground state. She doesn't have to be like AOC, but opposing minimum wage, among other things, is pretty bad.

I don’t agree with all of her views, but FF for her pragmatism and willingness to be above partisan politics.

Refusing to abolish the filibuster = no ban on gerrymandering and no statehoods = actively contributing to the solidification of eternal Republican minority rule in congress starting at 2022 = HP

Her track record has been HP-worthy so far, but I am willing to wait and see if she evolves or not over the next several years. At this point, I think she deserves a progressive primary challenger the next time her seat is up for reelection.

The D's can't do too much with only a tied Senate anyways, should we net seats in 2022/ she will come around, she needs Latinos in 2024

The D's have to play by the R rules of the filibuster for now, Biden said so and said don't blow up the Senate right now

Anyways all major cities have 15 an HR minimum wage DC, NYC, Chicago, SF and LA and you aren't guarenteed full time hrs, you are still stuck at 1000/1200 a mnth, the same you get in SSA or Unemployment as long as there is Civid

That's why Stimulus checks are popular

While support a certain level of bipartisanship in a healthy two party system and pragmatism, Sinema opposes an urgently needed raise of the minimum wage, an abolishion of the filibuster and gerrymandering all while not representing a solid red state. HP.

HP,
She's always been barely a Democrat and if she wasn't in a position to derail all legislation, it would be nice that other liberals finally get that.

TFW when someone is automatically a HP because they aren’t enough of a political hack for your personal, fallible party.

I can't think of anything hackier then deciding nothing should get done because saying both sides requires zero thought and gets you applause from the rich and stupid.

Well other than advocating genocide because Hurp Durp could war.

And change your avatar.

Saying “both sides” is arguably the first step towards change, unless you want a bunch of extremist ideologues in power.

Why should I change my avatar? I guarantee Christ would be the first to say “both sides.”

Your first point is easy, insipid claptrap. Just randomly saying we need bipartisanship or decrying extremists is a non-confrontational answer that requires zero thought and rarely gets pushed back against. It's not a solution or an attempted solution, it's just a lazy response that's been ingrained as a standard answer. It is the peak of hackery.
In any event, no one that has actually been paying attention to American politics over the last decade can seriously think that requiring supermajorities for legislative business will do anything but halt all legislative business. And a Senator that isn't interested in legislation doesn't need to be a Senator.

To the later, because of your apologism for nun rapping, priest murdering genocidaires.

I believe in some form of the preservation of the filibuster, I feel I am not that much unlike Sinema ideologically, I consider her a voice for moderation in the Senate, I think she's a strong electoral performer, and she's a firewall against some more relatively insane ideas coming from the left and/or (parts of) the Administration (such as $15 nationwide minimum wage).
