Shame they didn't include a general election poll as well. As far as the primary goes, the fat lady seems to be getting herself ready.

^^^

Shame they didn't have any regional stuff in the poll though. I always like looking at that.

I supported Lieberman until I saw Lamont on the Colbert Report. I was very impressed by him and agreed with his views on Iraq. I hope he beats Lieberman decisively.

I dont much care for either candidate. Lieberman, I disagree with on Iraq and his video games crusade. Lamont is a little too liberal for my tasts. I dont know...... I used to think if lieberman ran as an indy then he would win easily. But now I see lamont pulling even with him in the general. I just dont want to spend money on this race if we dont have to. I guess thats why i'll have to support lieberman.

Give me one example of him being "to liberal."

His support of universal healthcare?

Being 100% prochoice?

I can't believe this is happening. It was the top story on the local news this morning.

On a side note, I was saddened to learn that Joe Lieberman was endorsed and promoted by William Buckley in 1988. The latter is an embarrasment to the state. I wish he'd move to Alabama, where people share his views.

Heh. It looks like all those Republican endorsements are really helping Joe, doesn't it?

Hopefully, if Lamont's victory is big enough, the party elders can talk him out of running as an Indy.

He'd have to lose by a very large margin for that to happen (not that that can be ruled out tho').
If he does lose the primary and run as an Indie, the key to the race will be the Republican candidate...

Agreed. There is an increasing amount of nervous speculation to the effect that, if Lieberman bolts the party, the GOP will force the joke candidate they have now off the ballot in favor of someone who can win. It would still be an uphill battle for whomever runs, of course, but the seat won't be quite as safe for the Democrats- the Republicans will now have a 10 percent chance of winning. Wink It is something to be prepared for, though.

Life begins at conception?  Stemcell research is murder?  Morning after pill is evil?  Condoms are the work of the devil type of anti-abortion?

Or pro life as in curing cancer is more important than a blastocyst.  Capital punishment is ALWAYS wrong.  Warfare should ONLY ever be in self defense.  Pro-Life?

Yes I believe life begins at conception.

But I support stem cell research 100%.

I support the use of condoms.

Yep.  Right now the GOP candidate is a serious joke.  The Republicans have been trying to push him, but with no success.  They still have a week.

Actually, I found him kind of smarmy on The Colbert Report.  I was disappointed.
