To make it even stranger Badnarik's second best result, behind Loving, Texas (population 70), was in Sharkey County where he won 2.39% of the vote.

EDIT: A Socialist Workers Party candidate named Roger Calero also recieved 3.04% in Sharkey County his only large percentage in Mississippi.

We've had the Sharkey County question before. They're might still be some old threads left if you searched.

I vaguely remember those old Sharkey threads... apparently the county has a very confusing ballot.

The point was that Sharkey County was an anomaly and the results don't reflect the intentions of the voters. I can't remember if it was the ballot itself or some other cause. A rural Mississippi county with no colleges isn't going to be a hotbed of Green Party support.

Similar things have happened in other Delta Country counties in the past IIRC.
