As of 9:00 pm Tuesday, August 22, 2006 the race for Oklahoma Lt Governor is now between State House Minority Leader Jari Askins (D) and Speaker of the House Todd Hiett (R).

Its going to be a toss up on this seat.  Perhaps with Governor Brad Henry's influence, that might tip it toward Jari Askins, but with outgoing Lieutenant Governor Mary Fallin's influence (who herself is running for OK-5) that might tip the scale back toward Todd Hiett.

I'm torn between the two.  I'd be happy with either of them.  My vote is yet to be determined and I probably won't make it until late October.
