This Gabrieli guy just came out of no where.

no he has been around a while.  he was shannon o'brien's running mate in 02.  he has also long been actve in democrat grass root causes.

he is a bill clinton type democrat (ideologically speaking).  but he annoys the hell out of me.  he acts like a know-it-all.  he is a beacon hill elitist.  (him and john kerry are literally neighbors!)

he got mad when tom reilly didnt select him as his running mate...that is when he entered the race for governor.

kerry healey is really improving as a candidate.  her ads are good, her speaking has improved.  i cant wait until she is elected!

I'm not really surprised. Gabrieli is all over the airwaves and has a ton of money to spend. I see his commercials here in southern NH all the time.

I still think Patrick will squeek out a win in the primary.

If you look at the POS poll, then there is another poll in the Dem primary, this time Patrick is tied with Gabrieli. So, it seems like it is Patrick or Gabrieli.

Nuh, uh... SUSA hath polled this primary recently as well... Patrick 34%, Gabrieli 30%, Reilly 30%.

I wouldn't take Survey USA poll seriously tney have Allen ahead by only 3 points, I don't believe that because Allen's approval ratings are still around 50%. Also, they had Claire up by 1 and Rasmussen and most pollsters had her behind at this point.

Personally I'd trust SUSA more than a Uni poll or a partisan GOP outfit like POS.

But I don't think that Patrick isn't that strong of a candidate. Reilly and Gabrieli are much stronger than Patrick, all of their leads are much stronger than Patrick. We will see if Patrick's lead hold up, it is only 4 points. I think the race is really between Patrick and Reilly, I doubt that Chris Gabrieli gets it, because eventhough one poll show him with a lead, most of the polls have had it neck and neck between Reilly and Patrick.

this is a two man race between gabrieli and patrick.

reilly, who was never popular with liberal democrat activists, has run about as bad of a campaign as you cold possibly run.

Who knows the race is a tossup now, and people have their own interpretation on who are the front runners, I like Reilly, he has been the one who has had the largest lead on Healy of all the candidates. I don't think Patrick is as strong as people thought he has the smallest lead. And it further showed his weakness by the POS poll. I want Reilly to win. But it is a complete tossup.

Allen was ahead only by 3% in another poll to. On McCaskill, its a tossup. All the polls are in the MOE.

reilly is the only one who could definitely beat healey in the general.

gabrieli possibly can, but not likely.

patrick...no way.  way toooooooooooooooo liberal.

That's why I am rooting for Reilly and I think Patrick and Gabrieli will split the vote and Reilly wins. The Democratic establishment is rooting for Reilly.

kerry healey is really improving as a candidate.  her ads are good, her speaking has improved.  i cant wait until she is elected!

I just watched a few of her ads...  A couple observations and opinions.

1.  She's pretty hot.

2.  She speaks and presents herself very well.

3.  At the same time she comes off as one of those bitchy soccer moms who constantly complains (in this case about taxes and spending), but in reality, she's clueless about the underlying issues.

How close am I?

I wouldn't count on her being elected until she is ahead, the last poll was a tie and that was the best she has down. The Dems still hold the edge in this race. And Reilly is the best one to take her down.

she has improved a lot.  she must have hired a speech coach.  earlier in the year she was just terrible.  she wasnt concise at all.

now, not only are her ads good, but ive heard her interviewed on talk radio and she has done very well everytime.

i think your 3rd observation is pretty accurate and is hurting her the most.

to nini...i believe the primary is sept. 19.

by the way, i just saw a tom reilly ad where he bashes healey.  newsflash:  tom you arent running against healey.  you are in 3rd place in a 3 man race...time to focus.

Any of the three can beat Healey. All three are up by double digits.

Of course, Kathleen Sebelius is the most attractive woman in politics today.

wow, she is NOT hot at ALL...like ugly actually.  Not ugly for a politician, but ugly for a woman in general.

Mitty, I think your belief that Healey will somehow win is on the level of my belief that Fleming will win.

We can toast each other in November while we relish in our victories that everyone called us fools for predicting Smiley

actually healey isnt going to win the race, the dems are going to lose it.

patrick will not win a general election.  he is too liberal for massachusetts (if you can believe that)

That POS poll should alarm the Dems, which Healy is tied with Patrick.
