Governor:
Arnold Schwarzenegger (2003); I don't like him, though he's better than most Republicans.
Lt. Governor:
John Garamendi (2007); Meh, a no-name Democrat.

Senior Senator:
Dianne Feinstein (1992); Don't like her. The Democrats could do much better.
Junior Senator:
Barbara Boxer (1993); Super-FF.
Representative:
Mike Honda (2001); Super-FF.

State Senator:
Abel Maldonado (2001); I'm represented by a guy who lives in Southern California. His legal residence is in Santa Barbara County. I'd better get moved out of this district after the census, or else I'm going to make multiple threads bitching and whining and moaning about it.
State Assemblywoman:
Sally Lieber (2003); Don't know her well, but her Wikipedia article makes her sound like an FF.

Mayor:
Chuck Reed (2007); Meh. Mixed feelings.
City Councilman:
Pete Constant (2007); I dislike him, for reasons I have posted elsewhere.

GOVERNOR: (R) Tim Pawlenty  2002-present

LT. GOVERNOR: (R) Carol Molnau  2002-present

ATT. GENERAL: (DFL) Lori Swanson 2006-present

SEC. OF. STATE: (DFL) Mark Ritchie 2006-present

Senator(Senior): (R) Norm Coleman 2002-present

Senator(Junior): (DFL) Amy Klobuchar 2006-present

U.S REP: (DFL) Colin Peterson  1990-present

STATE SENATOR: (DFL) Mary Olson 2006-present

State Rep. (DFL) Frank Moe  2006-present

At the local level, all offices are non-partisan.  The city was run for years by Republican businessmen who pretty much drove the city into the ground thanks to their anti-growth stances.  Doug Peterson was elected as a pro-growth, reform mayor in 1976 and served until 2001.  During that time the city saw a huge renaissance.  Since, we have elected a more liberal mayor who seeks to balance growth with "livability" and "sense of place".

Gavin Newsom's party wasn't listed on the ballot (officially). That's the reason Gonzalez did so well.

Interesting if true. I forgot that it's kind of like that in LA, too, since two Democrats (the current Mayor and the former Mayor) faced off in a runoff in the General.
