I think that's the day William was crowned, not the day of the battle. I can't remember that though, must've been sometime in the fall...

Incorrect Lewis. That wasn't the day William was crowned either Lewis, he was crowned on Christmas day.

How long did the Hundred Years' War actually last and when did it start and end (just the years)?

It lasted 116 years. The dates...

I was at a disadvantage there because Christmas is usually celebrated in Germany on the evening of the 24th... Smiley Not that it matters as I already was wrong anyways.

Ah yes of course, wacky Germans.

Where in Germany do you live? My sister and her husband live near Dusseldorf.

I didn't know you had family living in Germany. Or maybe you told me and I simply forgot... Undecided

Me and my parents still celebrate christmas on the 24th. Back at school other children thought I was really weird because of that, and we used to have big arguments over whether the 24th or the 25th was the "main" christmas day.

Yes indeed I have family in Germany. My sister and her husband both have jobs out in Dusseldorf. They actually live in Krefeld. Ever been there?

Ah, well, back to the quiz and this time with a bit of popular culture and questions on films.

In which film does Kevin Spacey play the character Lester Burnham?

In JFK's absence, I will post a question.

Who was the only man elected twice as President, and twice as Vice-President?

Bah, ok, next question

What did President John Fitzgerald Kennedy say when told of the events at Birmingham Alabama?

*Hint* It was to do with the chief of police there.

Just wanted to say that I knew about the Hundred's Year War, though it was interrupted by peace treaties such as the 1364 one and I also have relatives and friends in Germany. Smiley Visited a wedding near Dusseldorf a year ago, as a matter of fact. Smiley
