No, although that would make them slightly hypocritical, wouldn't it? Smiley

No more hypocritical than those guys in Vancouver who run the "Enver Hoxha Bookstore".

No, but I have serious doubts about a communist's ability to sell a product I would be interested in.

Which, as you say, is just as hypocritical.  Apparently they don't actually understand the concepts of communism; they just think it's "cool".

Or very hypocritical, in that case.

I was actually thinking of starting this exact topic yesterday but then I thought to myself, "that wouldn't make sense."

Well, in theory they may not be a hypocrite.  What if they were running a business to build up a war chest that would be put toward a future workers' revolution?  There's no shame in living within the context of the system you happen to be in.

Well thus, the whole movement would be practicing hypocracy. They would be raising money via a private business, to fund a revolution that would eventually eliminate private business.

No.  Communism's a GREAT idea--but since man is selfish and sinful it doesn't work.  I have nothing against communism, but the dictators are hte problem.

Exactly.  They're brainless and shallow as well as hypocritical.

Exactly what parts of the Republican Party's economic platform do you understand and adhere to?

In other words it's not a great idea. I mean that's like saying nuking the planet is a good idea but it would kill off all life as we know it. If the idea ignores reality and fails because of it then it's not a good idea. Good ideas are based in reality, not in LaLa Land where fairies clean your bottom with three seashells and we all get along and eat peanut butterfly and jelly sandwhiches together before we go play in the meadow of orgasmic joy.

And let me give you something that you can have against communism since you seem ignorant about it - IT ABOLISHES RELIGION. Since you're religious, I think you might have issue with that.

Not necessarily true.  Many, if not most, professed communists have been hypocrites, who are prefectly willing to engage in the practices that their beliefs claim to oppose, if they benefit personally from such activities.

True, sort of like how John McCain was still taking campaign contributions even while pushing for campaign finance reform. The reality of the situation is that it takes money in order to change the system, so from that standpoint it would be acceptable to use the money one acquried from a business to attempt to eliminate all business, so long as you didn't make statements like "everyone who owns and runs a business is evil" or the like.
