Aren't Iran and Iraq on opposite sides of the Sunni/Shiite divide? I can see this as the new reason to stay the course. And the Republicans still won't blame Bush for getting us into this mess.

What about Iran? And do the ethnic groups of Iraq see the Iranians as the enemy.
The majority of Iraqis are Shiite, they take up the Southern regions of Iraq, the rest are Sunni and to the north.
