Someone who felt Humphrey wasn't liberal enough. Maybe someone in South Dakota. There were a few Nixon/McGovern counties nationally...Pitkin County, CO, went for Nixon by nearly twenty points and McGovern by 10, so I imagine there were many such voters there (though Nixon got more raw votes in 1972 than in 1968).
