Pretty horrible time to be a Russian.  Then again, perhaps the only time it was at least tolerable to be a Russian would probably be the reign of Alexander II Wink

If you lived in Russia, you'd probably drink a lot of vodka too. Sub-zero weather and 16+ hours of darkness for months to boot.

Well, the 16+ hours of darkness isnt all over the place. Im sure southern Russia gets plenty of sun.
