OK I think this is unrealistic.  Cardin's probably not at 50% yet, more like 48% and Steele is obviously getting more voters than Bush got in 2004 so I'll say he's at 43%.

This was already posted in another thread.  And I agree it's unrealistic.

Rasmussen's 50-45 spread comports with your 48-43 estimate.

why do i have a feeling that Steele is going to surprise a lot of people on election day.... then again, maybe a lot of white voters won't vote the black syndrome might show up again.... I don't know.....

I don't think that the racial factor will swing that many white votes.  At least I hope not.  If lots of whites turn from the Republican, then party ID and overall public opinion of the national situation will be more important.
